I guess I will never get my balcony clean. Pigeons thought that my balcony was their safe place to multiply. Picture above is the fourth time they used my balcony. I need to get it clean one day.

75th Anniversary Sydney Harbour Bridge
Went to Circular Quay in the morning until noon with my friends (and their son). We - except for the boy - were impressed and enjoying ourselves. Well, it's a good fun for me.

Pepper Soft-shelled Crab
I took my friends and family to restaurant in Balmain, called Satasia. I always had good experience and this time was no exception. Although I kept forgetting that they don't serve iced tea.
We also ordered fried fish which was excellent. It looked so good that I forgot taking picture and started scooping in.
I closed it with Gula Malaka and Banana Fritters which is just right in the tounge.
Another job well done.

My Photo in FluidEating
I had a message in my flickr that this dude would like to use my photo of Thai food for his company's website. I'd like, that's cool, man. I don't mind at all, and I did not mind when he said that they could not pay. I ain't no professional anyway. But he was cool enough that he would acknowledge the work by putting my name and link to my flickr page.
So here it is, shown in the picture above, the website. It looks alright, I'd say.

Chinese New Year Parade 2007 - Sydney
The parade is held a week before actual CNY and people in Sydney really celebrated the occasion. The road from Town Hall to Chinatown was blocked for the parade.

The Great Ocean Road Drive
I finally did it again yesterday and it was worth it. Spent the whole day, mostly driving and stop once in a while when we wanted to. We stopped at several beaches, and at some woods for taking pictures of koalas and kangaroos. We left Melbourne at around 5.30AM and back around 7.00PM - we could not sleep after woken up around 4AM and decided to do the drive....very good decision made.
We will do the drive again next time, but maybe stopping overnight at Apollo Bay so we have more chance to explore - although Lorne has some nice hotels.

Cafe Batavia
I went to Jakarta on business and I took the opportunity to pay a visit to my old time favorite place - Cafe Batavia. It used to be the best bar in the world 1996, according to Newsweek magazine. And it did show its 'aura' still, although not as busy as it used to be. I went with my parents and buddy for lunch and we had fantastic Indonesian and Chinese food - at the price not as expensive as I thought it would be, although still expensive comparing to the market rate in town. Had a very good experience and definitely will come back if I am in town.

Little Penguins on Phillip Island, Australia
This guy, Bill Adler, was very lucky to have a chance to take picture of penguins in Phillip Island. Now it is strictly a no no. But it is still a good experience to see these cute birds walking back to their nests. I went there twice and I still want to go back.

Doors of Jogja
I encountered this photo in Flickr, a collection from Farl. He captured the colours that brought me some recollections that people in Jogja really loves colours, and I mean bright solid colours. I missed this details so long ago and this photo brought back the memory of my hometown.

Happy New Year 2007
Just wishing all the best for everyone. I decided to have a quiet celebration this year and watch TV. Channel Ten is broadcasting live Sydney fireworks. And I did not really excited with the programme - maybe I am a bit too old for the style - other than the fireworks. I was quite surprised when they show one act of "Priscilla: Queen of The Desert" just right after the kiddie fireworks, and they were using the dialogues that were not "family friendly". I was a bit uncomfortable with the timing - definitely too early. I just kept on skipping the channel so I missed another act in Channel Ten that apparently offensive, son of Bert Newton (forgot his name) doing some obscene gestures in front of television - again still at the hours where kids still awake. I just learned that in "today tonight" - on Channel Seven. They argument was that show was intended for 25-ish audience, but the way I see it, it is more like a show that organised/run by 25-ish people. Not that age matter...

Sydney, Ahoy!
Beautiful weather, great food, awesome friends (and new friends) and a lot of booze. Add a yacht and Sydney sceneries, a bit of water, that'll make a perfect day.
Fore some people, including myself - we added beer and watermelon on a park and some football (soccer for you americans). Came home and took a nice hot bath and hit the bed. What a day....

Hurricane Grill, Bondi Beach
My office buddy Keiron organising a great meaty night out in Hurricane Grill, 130 Roscoe Road, Bondi Beach. It may be the first time a marketing guy telling the truth about a product as it was really awesome! And it did come in the "right" portion for meat lovers. So there was I sitting with good friends enjoying the food and beer. It was very crowded, people were queueing to get tables, and it was Wednesday! Good think we had our table reserved. This is definitely a recommendation, and you may see me popping in once in a while.... Well done, or should I say "Rare"?

Shanghai: It's a Big Pajama Party
This was taken from Reuters. Should've introduced them to "Victoria Secret"....
SHANGHAI (Reuters) - People wearing pajamas in public, still a common sight in Shanghai, is one of the most irritating aspects of life in China's biggest city, according to an opinion poll of residents.
The survey found that pajama-wearing on the streets and in public places such as shops, banks and parks is among the most uncivilized things in the city, along with aggressive pets, unhelpful neighbors and disregard for the natural environment,
Over 16 percent of respondents said they or family members often donned pajamas in public, and 25 percent reported they sometimes did, Yang Xiong, a professor who helped conduct the poll, said Wednesday.
The survey was sponsored by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and the Shanghai Women's Federation.
Theories differ over why the practice of wearing pajamas -- baggy cotton outfits which are often printed with flowers or small animals -- is so widespread in China's richest and most cosmopolitan city.
Some believe residents are showing off their social status by underlining how close to the city center they live, while others say it is a holdover from life many decades ago in small, self-contained communities.
